GPA® FAQ — What You Should Know

Where are GPA® helmets made?
Our helmets are meticulously crafted in Italy, using premium materials and meeting the highest safety standards—EN1384-2017 (EU) and ASTM F1163-15 (USA).

When should I replace my helmet?
Replace your helmet immediately after any fall or impact—it may look fine, but its ability to protect may be compromised.

How long should I keep my helmet?
We recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years, even if it hasn't sustained an impact, due to natural material wear.

When should the inner lining be replaced?
Swap it out if it's dirty, worn, or has lost its shape—maintaining fit and hygiene is essential for safety.

Can I paint or customize my helmet?
No—paints or chemicals can damage the helmet’s integrity and reduce its protective performance.

Does a higher price equal better safety?
Not necessarily. Safety depends on certification, not price—any helmet with EN1384-2017 is considered safe. Price reflects materials, finishing, and technical design.

Are pro riders’ helmets different?
Absolutely not—the helmets you purchase are exactly the same as those worn by our professional riders.
